Birthday’s aint what they used to be….

31 Jul

Just checking my stats, it has been reveled to me that here on wordpress.com the Grinning Skull Blog has reached the ripe old age of two years.

That in itself to me should be a sign of celebration, but presently I don’t have the will to woop and cheer at this news.

Some of those who know me, will know that my personal issues are a bit shit at the moment, I won’t get into detailing the sad and reprehensible things that have gone on to cause this woe, but safe to say, I wish that I could announce the skulls anniversary with a bit more vigor.

As the saying goes, that which does not kill us makes us stronger (yeah I know everyone uses that, but it’s true, and I don’t really give a flying fuck) and regardless of my turbulent personal status, I want to reassure any “proper regular” visitors to the site, that all this won’t finish any work I have done. Sure my attitude stinks at the moment, but if you knew what’s going on at the moment, you’d struggle with getting right.

Also I would like to address this to anyone in my schedule that are currently waiting for me to get their stuff done, I do apologise that it will take a bit longer than I anticipate, my status now is much different, so until I find more time to devote to it rather than deal with shit, I promise that I haven’t forgotten, and I’ll get in touch with you very soon to talk more about it.

I started this blog with the tongue in cheek title, never once realising its tag line would become even more poignant than before, as they say art does indeed imitate life, and all the laughing in the face of adversity has never meant as much as it has now for me. I shall indeed take this self advice to heart and continue to laugh at all adversity that comes, in fact I’m gearing up to go to war, laughing all the way to valhalla.

As ever, I want to thank all my readers, no matter how regular for their continued support of the site and input, as you lot give me the reason to keep the site going. Thanks to all out there that have helped and inspired me during this time, and all the kind comments and advice that make me have hope that the world isn’t totally gone to shit, just yet, and a renewed faith in my fellow humans.

Thanks everyone of you.

Will
